ReplyDeleteWhile no position could be described as "deep" for the USMNT (except possibly GK) there are a lot of positions that are more critical.
I wouldn't call that list "quite amazing," would you? I see one good option (Onyewu), one on his last international legs (Boca), and a bunch of guys with a patchy (or non-existant) history of international appearances.
ReplyDeleteI'd also argue that midfield, right the way across, is deeper than keeper, but I take your point as regards up top and at the back.
