- There isn't really a lot of congestion this year. Of course, the Open Cup and Champions' League will throw spanners in the works, but if you'll notice, the September/October scheduling is pretty sparse, presumably to allow for United's Champions' League participation (if we make it out of qualification).
- If we do manage to go deep in the Open Cup again, August could be the bogey month. We're going to be playing Champions' League qualifiers, we have league matches every weekend, and the Open Cup semis and final (if not the quarters as well) will be mid-week encounters in August. Now add the heat and fatigue of late summer. Ouch.
- We've got a fairly good stretch run if we're looking to make a final push into the playoffs. Four out of five of the final matches are at home, though we do close on the road.
Examining the Schedule
Have you had a gander at United's schedule yet? Some interesting points to note.
